Champaign County Respiratory Illness Weekly Surveillance Reports

The 2025–26 respiratory virus season, which spans November through April, is around the corner. Between September and October, we encourage community members to prepare by getting vaccinated. The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District provides weekly reports on the “big three” respiratory illnesses—COVID-19, influenza, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). These reports draw on both laboratory data and emergency department visits, offering valuable context for respiratory virus surveillance, particularly when COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and RSV are circulating at the same time. Please note that all data are preliminary and may change as additional information becomes available.
