Get Your Flu and Pneumonia Shot This November in Mahomet, Rantoul, St. Joseph or Tolono
Clinics Are Open to All Champaign County Residents
The CHAMPAIGN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT is offering Adult and Child Flu and Pneumonia Vaccination Clinics in Mahomet, Rantoul, St. Joseph and Tolono this November.
The Flu and Pneumonia Clinics will be:

Thursday, November 3, from 3-6 p.m., and Thursday, November 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northern Champaign County Community Service Center, 520 E. Wabash, Rantoul.

Tuesday, November 1, from 3-6 p.m. at the Mahomet Community Center, 508 E. Main St., Mahomet.

Tuesday, November 15, from 3-6 p.m. at the St. Joseph Municipal Building, 207 E. Lincoln St., St. Joseph.

Thursday, November 17, from 3-6 p.m. at the Tolono Public Library, 111 E. Main St., Tolono.
Adult flu shots cost $18.70. Adult pneumonia shots are $29.70. Child vaccines are free to children who are uninsured, underinsured, Medicaid eligible, American Indian or Alaska Native. Underinsured children include those who have health insurance but whose coverage does not include vaccines. Children whose health insurance covers only select vaccines or caps the vaccine cost at a certain limit are categorized as underinsured.

Flu & Pneumonia Shots Available at Public Health Main Building and Hays Center
The Champaign County Public Health Department and the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District are offering the following Adult Flu Shot Clinics in Champaign this November. Any Champaign County resident aged 18 or older is eligible for the flu shots. Adult pneumonia shots will also be available.
(Blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol screenings will be offered as time allows.)
The Flu Shot Clinics in Champaign will be:

Wednesday, November 2, and Wednesday, November 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District main building, 710 N. Neil St., Champaign.

Thursday, November 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hays Center, 1311 W. Church St., Champaign.
Flu shots cost $18.70. Pneumonia shots are $29.70. Blood pressure screenings are free. Blood sugar tests cost $2 and cholesterol checks cost $4. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.

Flu Shots Available to All at Public Health
October 24 and 31 Clinics at Public Health Main Building in Champaign
Public Health will offer its next two adult flu shot clinics on Monday, October 24 and Monday, October 31, and will open the clinic to all adults, regardless of age or health status.
Public Health has ordered 1,500 adult and 250 child doses of influenza vaccine for the season and has received a total of 600 adult and 180 child doses of vaccine so far.
Parents seeking flu shots for their children may call Public Health at (217) 531-4317 to schedule an appointment.
While the clinics on the 24th and 31st are open to all, health officials continue to urge people 65 years of age and older, those with chronic medical conditions, residents of long-term care facilities and health care workers with direct patient care to get flu shots. Pregnant women and adults who care for children less than six months of age are also encouraged to come in for a flu shot.
Pneumonia shots are also available at all flu shot clinics.
