Public H1N1 Clinics Scheduled This Weekend

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District and Carle Clinic will be Holding Public H1N1 Clinics November 21st & 22nd

CHAMPAIGN, IL — The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) and Carle Clinic will be administering H1N1 vaccinations Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd.  The two-day clinic is targeting persons from 6 months to 24 years of age, no restrictions, and 25 to 64 years of age with underlying health conditions.

Individuals who fall into the priority age group of 25 to 64 who have medical conditions that put them at a higher risk for influenza-related complications include those with heart disease, diabetes, asthma or chronic lung diseases, kidney disease, suppressed immune systems, and neurological and neuromuscular disorders.

CUPHD encourages those who will be attending either clinic to print consent forms prior to arrival and to wear short sleeves for a faster process.  The consent forms can be downloaded at www.c-uphd.org.  The vaccinations are free to the public with no residency requirements.

The H1N1 vaccination clinic on Saturday will be a drive-thru clinic held at the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District parking lot, 201 W. Kenyon Road in Champaign, from 9 AM to 3 PM and Sunday will be a walk-in clinic held at the Lincoln Square Village, 201 Lincoln Square in Urbana, from Noon to 6 PM.

Non-perishable food items will be collected during the two-day clinic and will be delivered to area food pantries.  Both CUPHD and Carle Clinic will offer a chance to Fight Flu & Fight Hunger!
