H1N1 Vaccine NOT Available at CUPHD
The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District Has Not Received Shipments of the H1N1 Vaccine
Champaign, IL – The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) has not received the H1N1 vaccine at this time. Due to misinformation, CUPHD is receiving numerous calls and walk-ins from the public requesting the H1N1 vaccination. A press conference will be scheduled once the vaccine has been received.
Although the State of Illinois has received 57,000 doses of the H1N1 FluMist, none has been shipped to Champaign County. The first doses that CUPHD receives will be provided to healthcare workers under the age of 49 who meet the additional healthrelated guidelines and who have already pre-registered through their employers.
CUPHD anticipates starting school-based vaccination clinics at the beginning of November and public clinics by the end of November.
