Walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic available Saturday, Feb. 20
Champaign, Ill.— Carle Community Health Initiatives in partnership with the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD), will host a walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic Saturday at Church of the Living God, 312 E Bradley Ave., Champaign from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. or until all available dosages are administered. Vaccine is available for those who live or work in Champaign County who are currently eligible to receive vaccine.
When: Saturday, Feb. 20 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Where: Church of the Living God, 312 E Bradley Ave., Champaign
“We’ve been partnering with Church of the Living God to address healthcare needs and disparities for some time and bringing vaccination opportunities directly to those who need it most is a natural extension of our reach,” Jonathan Woods, RN, MSN, executive director, Community Health Initiatives, said.
Carle Health, in partnership with Champaign Urbana Public Health District, is now vaccinating:
- Residents 40-64 with underlying health conditions or disabilities,
- Residents 65 or older in-person
And those who live or work in Champaign County in these categories:
- Healthcare workers outlined in Phase 1a as those in hospital and non-hospital settings who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients or infectious materials as well as those who care for a disabled family member.
- Staff at licensed daycare workers State of Illinois approved early childhood and licensed daycares and K-12 (public, private and parochial) schools.
- Other essential workers outlined in Phase 1b.

Public health administrator Julie Pryde said partnerships and targeted community outreach efforts are key in ensuring that vaccine reaches as many people who to receive it as quickly as possible.
“We’re working hard to remove barriers to accessing the vaccine for our community members,” Woods said.
