CUPHD Not Affected by Recall

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District was not Affected by CDC’s Vaccine Recall

Champaign, IL – The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) issued a health update on January 29, 2010 for certain lots of the H1N1 vaccine.  The recall was a non-safetyrelated voluntary recall of unused doses of Sanofi Pasteur H1N1 vaccine in pre-filled syringes that had potency levels which dropped below the pre-specified limits.  The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District has not given out any of the vaccine within the specified recalled lots.

The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District continues to hold walk-in clinics daily from 8 AM to 4 PM.  H1N1 vaccination clinics are free and open to all persons.  There are no residency requirements to receive the vaccine.
